Zac Sunderland, only 17 years old, has sailed solo around the world. During his journey he not only had to deal with breakdowns and storms, but even encountered suspected pirates.
He returned home, sailing into Marina Del Rey on his yacht, the Intrepid, welcomed by cheering and jubilant crowds. "Intrepid" surely also describes the undaunted spirit of this young sailor.
